A simple 2 coloured outline consisting of smaller black lines at regular intervals.

3 coloured effect where the outer and inner colour move.

A distortion effect where the distance field is treated like a height map, that offsets the background.

A dual effect with diagonal lines moving from left to right and a standard outline with coloured stencil.

A neon glow effect where teh distance field is used to create the glow rather than using the built in bloom.
Simple Outline Base
A basic example material shows you how to change the outline size, whether it's just the inside, outside or both. It shows you how to have a different colour for both the stencil and any occlusion.
